Rasheed Abdul Wallace was born on September 17, 1974.  At 6 ft. 11 1⁄2 inches, he plays the center for the Detroit Pistons.  He was selected from UNC by the Washington Wizards in the 1995 NBA Draft.  He was named to the All-Rookie second team following his first season. He had a career high 42 points against the Nuggets in 2000. He was also a key player of the Blazers team that made it to the Western Conference Finals also in 2000.  In 2004, Wallace earned his first championship ring with the Detroit Pistons.  He has become well-known for his selflessness in the game.
